Bruno is 6 years old, a Cane Corso who was brought into a shelter after being found exhausted on the street.
His body is severely underweight.
He is badly dehydrated.
He has multiple infected wounds.
And inside the medical kennel, Bruno is now so weak that he spends nearly all of his time lying almost completely still on the bedding.
Even lifting his head has become difficult.
Sometimes Bruno turns toward the water bowl beside him.
He raises his head only a few centimeters.
Then the strength disappears.
His head drops back onto the bedding before he can get there.
Bruno Barely Moves
There is very little movement in Bruno’s kennel now.
His body remains stretched out on the medical bedding.
His breathing is weak.
His muscles appear depleted.
The kind of movement most dogs make without thinking has become a major effort for him.
Sometimes Bruno notices the water nearby.
His head shifts slightly.
His neck tightens.
Then he tries to lift.
Only a few centimeters.
For a moment, his muzzle points toward the bowl.
Then the effort ends.
Bruno’s head falls back down.
He remains where he started.
The water is still close.
For Bruno, close is not the same as reachable.
He Was Found Exhausted on the Street
Bruno did not arrive at the shelter in normal condition.
He was found outside already severely depleted.
His body was extremely thin.
He was significantly dehydrated.
Multiple wounds were present, and those wounds were infected.
No additional details were provided about how long Bruno had been outside, where he came from, or what happened before he was found.
Those gaps matter.
There is no verified information showing whether Bruno was abandoned, escaped, neglected, abused, or had been living as a stray for a long period.
Those explanations should not be invented.
What is known is the condition in which he arrived.
He was already in serious medical trouble.
