She tapped her temple lightly.
“I read customer concentration reports.”
Garrett swallowed.
Brianna’s voice stayed calm.
“You’re one of our top individual spenders.”
His confidence returned slightly.
“Exactly.”
Brianna nodded.
“And you seem to think that bought you authority over my crew.”
He froze.
“Did it?”
No answer.
Brianna looked at Denise.
“Has he filed complaints against staff?”
Denise glanced toward Captain Mercer.
The captain said:
“You may answer.”
Denise hesitated.
“Yes.”
“How many do you remember?”
“Several.”
Garrett snapped:
“This is inappropriate.”
Brianna ignored him.
“Any resulted in discipline?”
Denise's voice became quiet.
“Yes.”
The captain's expression hardened.
Garrett leaned forward.
“They deserved it.”
Denise flinched.
Brianna saw.
“Sit back.”
Garrett stared.
“What?”
Brianna’s voice contained no volume.
Only command.
“Sit back.”
Something about it worked.
Garrett leaned into his seat.
Brianna turned to Captain Mercer.
“After landing, I want every complaint associated with his profile reviewed.”
Garrett’s face reddened.
“You can't retaliate against me for legitimate complaints.”
“No.”
Brianna nodded.
“I can't.”
That surprised him.
“So I'm not going to.”
Then:
“Independent review.”
She looked toward Denise.
“Every affected employee gets interviewed.”
Garrett said:
“You're insane.”
Brianna smiled faintly.
“That may be.”
Then looked toward his wife.
“But your video should help with today.”
Captain Mercer asked if Brianna wanted to move seats.
She looked around.
“No.”
Garrett seemed shocked.
The captain said:
“We can move him.”
Brianna considered.
Then shook her head.
“Not during cruise unless safety requires it.”
She did not want spectacle.
Garrett remained beside her.
That became its own punishment.
For the next ninety minutes, he could not escape the woman he had tried to humiliate.
Nobody in first class spoke to him.
Tiffany stopped recording.
Garrett ordered another champagne.
Denise answered:
“Alcohol service for your seat has been discontinued for the remainder of the flight.”
Garrett stared.
“By whose authority?”
Denise looked toward the cockpit.
“The captain’s.”
Garrett glanced at Brianna.
She was writing in her leather journal.
He leaned toward her.
“You enjoying this?”
She kept writing.
“No.”
