A passenger two rows behind quietly activated the camera on his phone.

The billionaire finally said:

“Remember it when you file your little complaint.”

He gave his name.

The woman repeated it once.

Not loudly.

As if storing it.

The billionaire sat back down across the aisle.

“Now clean yourself up.”

The woman’s eyes remained on him.

His irritation returned almost immediately.

“What?”

“You deliberately poured boiling liquid onto another passenger.”

“It was coffee.”

“That does not answer what I said.”

“You were in my space.”

The woman looked around.

Her seat was beside the window.

His was across the aisle.

He continued:

“You kept making comments.”

“I asked you to stop putting your belongings against my seat.”

“You were being aggressive.”

“I spoke to you once.”

“You challenged me.”

The woman’s expression changed very slightly.

“Challenged you?”

The billionaire gave a dismissive wave.

“This is what I mean.”

The flight attendant finally found her voice.

“Sir, please remain seated.”

He looked at her.

“You work for me?”

“No, sir.”

“Then don’t tell me what to do.”

The attendant swallowed.

He pointed toward the woman.

“She shouldn’t even be sitting up here.”

The words landed harder than he expected.

A man across the cabin lowered his glass.

The woman beside him stared openly now.

The Black woman asked:

“Why?”

The billionaire looked at her clothing.

The white dress.

The jewelry.

The elegant handbag beside her armrest.

He hesitated only briefly.

Then said:

“You don’t fit.”

The woman tilted her head.

“Fit what?”

He laughed.

“You know exactly what I mean.”

“No.”

Her voice remained quiet.

“I would like you to explain it.”

He leaned toward her again.

“First class.”

The woman stared.

He continued:

“People like you always think dressing expensive means you belong everywhere.”

No one in the cabin moved.

The billionaire seemed energized by the attention.

He mistook silence for control.

“I have flown this airline for twenty years.”

“I know who usually sits up here.”

The woman’s mouth tightened.

“What kind of person is that?”

He rolled his eyes.

“Oh, don’t start.”

“Answer.”

“You’re not turning this into some race thing.”

“I haven’t mentioned race.”

He looked away.

She continued.

“You said people like me.”

“What people?”

The billionaire snapped:

“People who don’t know how to behave.”

The flight attendant stepped forward.

“Sir, I need you to stop now.”

He spun toward her.

“You need to get me another drink.”

“No.”
