BABY IS RIGHT THERE WTF
She needs to ask for supervisor NOW
That woman is way too calm
Sarah whispered into the phone:
“She’s literally just sitting there. The attendant took the boarding pass to the front.”
A man seated beside Sarah muttered, “This is going to become a problem.”
Sarah whispered back, “It already is.”
Maya could not hear them.
She was checking Amara’s hands for sauce.
The baby grabbed Maya’s finger.
Maya smiled.
“There you are.”
That was when Jessica returned.
Another flight attendant accompanied her.
This woman was older, with short dark hair and a name badge reading LINDA PARKER — PURSER.
Linda’s expression was more cautious than Jessica’s.
Jessica held Maya’s boarding pass.
“There appears to be an issue.”
Maya looked up.
“With what?”
“The reservation.”
Maya’s tone remained even.
“What issue?”
Jessica glanced at Linda.
Linda did not answer.
Jessica said, “We may need to relocate you temporarily.”
Maya stared.
“Relocate me where?”
“Economy has available seating.”
The older man across the aisle muttered, “You’ve got to be kidding.”
Jessica ignored him.
Maya asked, “My boarding pass says 12A?”
“Yes, but—”
“Does your manifest say 12A?”
Jessica hesitated.
Linda finally spoke.
“The manifest shows you in 12A.”
Maya looked at her.
“Then what exactly are we resolving?”
Jessica folded her hands.
“By people authorized to determine whether this seating situation is legitimate.”
Several passengers reacted audibly.
Someone said, “Wow.”
Sarah’s livestream comments became a blur.
Maya looked at Jessica for a long moment.
Then asked:
“Resolved by whom?”
Jessica’s voice sharpened.
“The captain is aware.”
Maya nodded slowly.
“Good.”
That answer bothered Jessica.
Maya could see it.
The flight attendant had expected fear.
