So she decided to proceed.

The next morning, Victoria arrived at Anthony's property shortly before eleven.

She wasn't alone.

Seven invited guests had been told they were attending a private HOA wellness gathering in a reserved residential pool.

Some had paid through an event registration system.

Others had been invited as friends.

They arrived wearing swimsuits beneath summer clothing, carrying towels and small bags.

Victoria wore her bright hot-pink one-piece swimsuit beneath a light cover-up.

Her blonde hair was perfectly styled.

She carried a large pink-and-white tote bag containing party supplies, sunscreen, a portable speaker, and a container of specialty products she'd purchased for the event.

A small catering delivery had already dropped off refreshments.

The guests looked toward the farmhouse.

One woman frowned.

"Is this really an HOA facility?"

Victoria smiled.

"It's part of a special community arrangement."

The woman glanced toward the red barn.

"Looks like somebody's house."

Victoria laughed.

"That's because it is. The association has access for approved recreational activities."

Another guest asked whether the owner would be joining them.

Victoria's smile tightened.

"He's aware of the event."

That statement was deliberately misleading.

Anthony was aware that Victoria wanted to hold an event.

He had explicitly refused permission.

And she knew it.

But the guests didn't.

They followed her toward the side entrance.

One woman noticed the private-property sign.

"Victoria, are you sure?"

The HOA president waved her hand.

"Please. I'm the one who organized this."

She directed the group into the backyard.

And within minutes, Anthony's private pool had become the venue for an event he hadn't authorized.

Anthony was upstairs when his phone displayed a motion alert.

He had returned from a morning errand and was changing into his navy swimming trunks, intending to spend the afternoon relaxing beside the pool.

He glanced at the notification.

Several people were entering the backyard.

For a moment, he thought the camera application was displaying an old recording.

Then he saw Victoria.

She was standing beside the pool in her pink swimsuit.

She moved chairs.

Directed guests.

And began arranging decorations.

Anthony felt anger rising.

He opened the live feed.

The guests appeared relaxed.

They clearly believed they were attending a legitimate gathering.

Victoria was speaking confidently.

One person was taking photographs.

Another was placing towels on Anthony's patio furniture.

He considered going outside immediately.

Then he remembered Rachel's advice.

Preserve the evidence.

Avoid escalating a confrontation.

And don't interfere with anyone in a way that creates an unnecessary safety risk.
