She answered in the same language.
“माफ़ी की शुरुआत शब्दों से होती है। असली बदलाव व्यवहार में दिखता है।”
An apology begins with words. Real change appears in behavior.
The billionaire nodded slowly.
Then he asked, "Will you ever consider doing business with my company again?"
She thought carefully.
"Not under the present circumstances."
He looked disappointed.
She continued.
"Your organization needs to investigate the transaction concerns. I need to protect my employees and my property. And I won't reconsider any investment until I have confidence in the people involved."
The billionaire nodded.
"Understood."
She stood.
He rose as well.
For a moment, neither spoke.
Then the owner extended her hand.
He shook it.
"Thank you for hearing me out," he said.
She smiled faintly.
"Thank you for finally listening."
After the guests departed, the owner returned to the private dining room.
The oversized white lantern remained illuminated.
Several candles still flickered on the table.
The air carried the faint scent of spices and fresh bread.
The general manager was supervising the final cleanup.
He looked up.
"Well?"
She sighed.
"That was an unusual evening."
He laughed softly.
"Unusual?"
She smiled.
"All right. Terrible."
He gestured toward the table.
"The staff heard what happened."
Her expression became serious.
"How much?"
"Enough."
She looked toward the doorway.
"Are they upset?"
"Some are angry. Some are worried the investment will affect their jobs."
The owner nodded.
"Then I should speak with them."
She walked into the staff dining area.
Several employees were gathered there after finishing service.
The service captain stood near the counter.
Two waiters were discussing the evening.
A younger employee looked frightened when the owner entered.
She raised a hand.
"Everyone, can I have a moment?"
The conversations stopped.
She looked around the room.
"I want to thank you for the work you did tonight."
Several employees exchanged glances.
She continued.
"The dinner was difficult. But your service was excellent."
The service captain smiled faintly.
The owner took a breath.
"I also want you to know that nobody here is expected to tolerate humiliation simply because a customer is wealthy."
The room became quiet.
"If a guest behaves inappropriately, tell a supervisor. We'll address it."
One waiter raised his hand.
