The wealthy woman stared.

The mother continued:

“As of this morning, Meridian controls the airline.”

Her voice remained even.

“And I control Meridian.”

The wealthy woman's face emptied.

Not anger.

Not yet.

First came disbelief.

“No.”

The mother looked toward the phone.

The airline president spoke.

“She’s correct.”

That was the moment.

The woman's certainty collapsed.

Not her pride.

That took longer.

But the structure holding it upright cracked.

“You’re saying…”

The executive adjusted the baby's white bow.

“Yes.”

The wealthy woman looked around as if somebody might explain that a prank had gone too far.

Nobody did.

The younger attendant stared at the executive.

The purser straightened.

The mother noticed immediately.

“Don't.”

The purser froze.

“Ma’am?”

“Don't change how you stand because you know who I am.”

The purser looked embarrassed.

The executive continued:

“You were correct five minutes ago before you knew my title.”

“That matters more.”

The purser nodded.

The mother turned toward the phone.

“I want the aircraft held.”

The president inhaled.

“For how long?”

“Until the passenger in 3B is removed.”

The wealthy woman found her voice.

“You cannot be serious.”

The executive looked at her.

“I asked you to apologize to an eight-month-old child.”

The woman stared.

“You refused.”

“This is retaliation.”

“No.”

The executive's voice sharpened.

“This is consequence.”

The wealthy woman folded her arms.

“My attorneys will destroy this airline.”

The mother almost smiled.

“You should call them.”

The woman blinked.

“I intend to.”

“Good.”

The executive adjusted the baby's damp skirt.

“Ask them whether your contract of carriage allows you to deliberately pour alcohol onto another passenger’s child.”

“That was an accident.”

The younger attendant spoke immediately.

“No.”

The wealthy woman turned.

The flight attendant swallowed but continued.

“I saw you tip the glass.”

The woman stared.

“You'd risk your job accusing me?”

The executive's eyes moved to the attendant.

This was the true moment.

Not the ownership reveal.

This.

The young woman had been willing to say it before knowing whether the new owner would protect her.

The executive remembered.

The attendant seemed to realize what she had just done and looked frightened.

The Black CEO said:

“You are not risking your job by telling the truth.”

The wealthy woman snapped:

“We'll see.”

The executive looked at her.

“No.”

Her voice became cold.

“We won’t.”

The purser gestured toward the aisle.

“Ma’am, gather your belongings.”
